Against The Storm Leaves Early Access & Coming to PC Game Pass. Launching December 8th, 2023

Eremite Games and Hooded Horse have announced that Against the Storm, the roguelite city builder set in a fantasy world ravaged by endless storms, will leave Early Access and officially launch on Steam and Game Pass on December 8th. The game will also receive a new update that will introduce the Queen's Hand Trial, a new mode designed for the most experienced of Viceroys.

Against the Storm is a game where you must build a network of settlements populated by diverse fantasy races, each with their own specializations and needs. You must also contend with the harsh wilderness and the never-ending storms that will batter your population. The game features a roguelite progression system, where you can carry forward the resources, upgrades, and experience of your past expeditions each time you start a new journey.

The game has been in Early Access since September 2020, and has received positive feedback from the players and critics alike. The developers have been updating the game regularly, adding new features, content, and improvements based on the community's suggestions and feedback.

The latest update, which will coincide with the game's official launch, will add the Queen's Hand Trial, a new mode that will challenge even the most seasoned players. In this mode, you have one Cycle to reforge the Adamantine Seal, the game's most difficult endeavor. You start from scratch and need to be strategic about your upgrade choices, as they are limited and expensive. You also face permadeath at every step, and if you fail to reforge the Seal in time, you lose everything. But if you succeed, you will be awarded the title of Queen's Hand and will be granted a rare audience with the Scorched Queen herself.
