Dust Front: A New Indie RTS with Procedural World and Non-Linear Campaign

Dust Front is a new indie real-time strategy game that combines elements of grand strategy, procedural world generation, and non-linear campaign. The game is developed by a small team of indie developers and is set to release in 2024.

The game takes place on a planet devastated by many wars and upheavals, where the remnants of humanity are buried under a thick layer of soot and concrete. The player takes the role of a commander of the Empire, one of the three powerful factions that vie for control of the planet. The player will have to build bases, gather resources, research technologies, and lead armies in tactical battles against various enemies, such as mutants, robots, rebels, and conspirators.

The game features a global map mode, where the player can plan their moves and actions in advance and anticipate enemy maneuvers. The global map is procedurally generated and affected by external events, such as news, merchants, mercenaries, and superweapons. The player can also unlock new units and buildings, improve and equip them with modern weapons, and move their troops from battle to battle in strike groups or garrisons.

The game also features a tactical battle mode, where the player can engage in close-quarters combat with their enemies using a variety of units, such as tanks, aviation, infantry, and vehicles. The game offers a challenging and asymmetrical gameplay, where the player has to face an enemy superior in number and strength. The game also boasts a rich and detailed environment, with interactive elements and multiple paths to achieve the objectives.

Dust Front is a game that promises to deliver a deep and immersive strategy gameplay experience for fans of the genre. It brings a fresh and unique perspective to the classic RTS formula, with its procedural world and non-linear campaign.
