Old World, the historical 4X strategy game from Mohawk Games, has released its third DLC, Pharaohs of the Nile, which is now available on Steam, Epic and GoG for USD$9.99. The DLC adds six new free-form scenarios set in ancient Egypt, as well as a new playable civilization, the Kingdom of Kush.
The scenarios cover different periods and events of the New Kingdom, which spanned from the 17th to the 20th Dynasty. Players can experience the unification of Egypt under Thebes, the expansion of the empire into neighboring lands, the religious revolution of the Amarna Period, the epic Battle of Qadesh against the Hittites, the restoration of order under Ma'at, and the challenge of the Sea People during the Bronze Age Collapse. Each scenario has unique characters and objectives that will test the players' skills and strategies.
The Kingdom of Kush is a new civilization that can be played in the sandbox campaign of Old World. The Kushites have access to two exclusive ranged units, the Archer and the Slinger, as well as unique Kushite Pyramids that provide various bonuses. The Kushites can also build forts with any unit, spread their faith to gain legitimacy, and build shrines to boost their economy. The Kushites have multiple dynasties to choose from, each with different traits and abilities.
